Pemberton Heights community is located just south of Bryker Woods, which features homes from the same time period, but with a smaller average size and less expensive. Just five minutes from Pemberton Heights and Edgemont is one of the most popular golf spots in Austin, Lions Municipal Golf Course. Located downtown and serving players since 1934, the Lions Municipal Golf Course has hosted such notable golfers as Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Tom Kite, and Ben Crenshaw. The 6,001 yard, 18-hole course is lined with mature trees and the fairways and greens are well maintained. The Lions Municipal Golf Course hosts two tournaments a year.
