Emerson Process Management is a division of Emerson Electric Company, a product and service development company aimed at helping businesses automate production. Emerson operates five divisions and employs nearly 135,000 employees worldwide. The Austin division of Emerson started back in 1981 with only 50 employees, but with a $70 million dollar facility covering 282,000 square feet completed in 2014, they employ about 800 people today. Emerson Process Management's new "Innovation Center" is the global headquarters for Emerson's automation systems and project services business for facility operation in fields such as oil and gas. Emerson also has an engineering and technology partnership with Dell, located just on the opposite side of I35. Emerson's new facility is located on the border of Round Rock and Austin at 1100 W. Louis Henna Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78681.
